These changes are part of a major reform aimed at improving the level of personal data protection in the activities of operators.
Evgeniya highlighted the specifics of filing notifications on the intention to conduct cross-border transfer of personal data, new requirements for operators in connection with the transfer of data abroad, criteria for assessing the potential harm that may be caused to personal data subjects in the event that an operator violates the law, and shared recommendations for updating local regulations of operators.
In addition, the audience learned from Evgeniya's presentation about the required procedure in case of personal data leakage, as well as the deadlines for notifying Roskomnadzor of such incidents.
